Look what came home with me this morning, along with a delicious cup of Lavender-Chamomile tea from Cakewalk in Lee (oh, yeah, and a croissant, but that didn’t exactly make it home…):
I ordered this lovely necklace from the gorgeous Liz Elayne Lamoreux, who I met briefly at Squam (she was selling at the Squam Art Fair, too!); she presses “soul mantras” into small disks of raw brass. It makes a splendid little clinking when I walk, reminding me of the mantra… Begin! Something I definitely need to remember these days, taking the first step will help me on my way more than anything else. Liz has a wonderful blog, and also creates the most fantastic fabricy goodness, including bags, aprons, pillows and so much more! She sold out of the bags and smaller aprons at the fair (and maybe everything else?), but is always taking custom orders. And of course, you have to love the packaging — she sewed my necklace a little bag of its very own! She also wrote me a note on a tag that looks just like the ones we used at Squam to write thank you notes to Elizabeth, so that just melted my heart. Oh, and did I mention she lives in Tacoma, WA? Yeah, right smack where I went to college! One of my favorite places in the world, for sure! Thanks, Liz!
