I just heard that I will definitely be selling at the “Shop HARDWARE Holiday Party” at Mass MoCA! And they are looking for more interested crafty vendors! E-mail images of your work to Jodi Joseph at jjoseph@massmoca.org if you want to apply. The vendor fee is TBD, but will be under $50.
The event is one evening, Thursday December 11th — from 5 to 9 pm at the most fabulous of venues, the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art in North Adams, MA (Mass MoCA). We will be set up in the lobby and store area (”Hardware”) which is awesome and all industrial-warm (if that’s a thing?). It’s one of the most fun and funky stores in the Berkshires, and I always want to spend hours in it when I visit the museum. Fort this event they are inviting local artisans and craftspeople to fill the lobby with fabulous gifts!
If you have never been to Mass MoCA, this would be a great time to check it out & the galleries will be open until 8pm. The whole complex is an old Mill, with huge expansive rooms housing cutting-edge artwork by some really interesting people, including a new Sol LeWitt Wall Drawing Retrospective opening Nov. 16th, and the wonderful Jenny Holzer’s “Projections” where you lay on these huge hypercolor (yes, I said hypercolor — they change color where your body heat touches them!) bean bag chairs and watch words fly overhead — mesmerizing!
I hope I’ll see you there!
