There are some insights happening over here.
Have you ever heard the saying, “when the student is ready, the teacher will appear”?
So so true. Have been working with/learning from some amazing teachers lately. They include (but are not limited to) the gorgeous Jenny Fenig, the glowing Amanda Moxley and the vibrant Michelle Ghilotti (and through them the divine Gina DeVee!). AHmazing. These women are the real deal. So inspiring and so giving and so BEAUTIFUL, kind, heart-ful. I highly recommend checking them out, they all give away mucho amazingness for free on their websites and they are totally worth working with, too!
Something I’m working on lately comes up for me as the image of jumping on a conveyor belt. I think there is a reason the saying is going “into business”. I have owned a business for over 5 years now. But I haven’t really been IN my business. It’s been sort of like a hobby, not really making much money but also not taking much of my time/energy/focus. I always give it a lot of little pieces of my focus/mental energy here and there, but it’s only recently (in the last 3-4 months) that it has become the focus of my days (workdays, that is. Natalie days, I try to make sure she is the focus! …And she wouldn’t have it any other way!). So what I’m saying is, I’m ready to get on that conveyor belt, and be part of the great flow — spending money (i.e. energy, flow, vibrance, creativity, my gifts, what I HAVE to give) to make money.
This also has a piece of getting clear on why we want to be in business (in addition to the obvious perk of being one’s own boss) for me it boils down to bringing money in to pass it along. To express love by giving to those I love, admire, believe in. To give my family what they want/desire/need/love. To give myself the same. To be beautiful. To embody beauty and flow and ease. To live blissfully and joyfully. To be part of life and live ON PURPOSE, with purpose. And to inspire others to do the same.
I hope this makes sense to you and sounds inspiring, but if it doesn’t, or you’re interested in learning more and not just thinking I’m looney-toons (that’s ok, too) might I suggest checking out The Power, The Science of Getting Rich and The Big Leap (haven’t read that one yet, but hear references to it all the time and it’s at the top of my list!). Just for startes anyway. We’ll talk about it all more again soon.
So tell me, have you ever had the experience of being ready to learn something and teachers just lining up to show you the way?
