Do you know that feeling on those days you just don’t want to do anything? You just don’t feel like showing up. In your life, work, relationships, your own skin?
I’ve had a few of those lately. And they seem to inevitably be followed by days of pure bliss, where I love everything and am so grateful for my life, the gorgeous place I live, nature, abundance, children’s laughter, the work I GET to do. Instead of the feeling like “shut up you whippersnappers! Stop all that laughing!” — you know what I mean, don’t you? And I feel really goofy for being all happy and grateful.
Except that’s totally the point. The true way to be/do/have what you want — to be grateful for what you DO have NOW. To feel the feelings you think the money/house/significant other will bring you — to feel that way NOW. And it’s pretty freeing, really, to realize that if you just make simple mindset shift (ok sometimes not so easy), that you CAN really have it all NOW.
It’s in those times where changing your mindset seems impossible that it really is the most powerful. When you have a snack and take a walk out in the snow with the dog, that you can watch your perspective shift. The world comes into focus again and you see the possibilities, the many ways out. Out of the funk, out of the hopelessness, out of the “bills-are-due-now-and-there’s-no-money” lack thinking and into the “how can I change the way I’m seeing this situation?” NOW. Because, really, if you’re reading this, chances are you are pretty lucky and have some things not a lot of people on this planet have. Internet connection. Computer. Cell phone with internet? Whee! We are indeed in the future.
Anyway…. So… I’m trying to be here, NOW, to see the possibilities, and it looks pretty bright. Won’t you join me?
